The Practical Difference
The Pro is for someone who wants the factory pre-set program library and does not need to save personally configured settings. The Pro Plus is for someone who wants to create, save, and return to up to 12 combinations of frequency, intensity, and waveform. The standard operating range, intensity range, number of pre-set programs, and two-applicator format are the same in the current listings.
The $1,000 difference between the current store prices is therefore a choice about saved customization. It should not be treated as evidence of a different medical outcome. Thirty-five years of the same engineering lineage
Most PEMF companies are younger than their marketing suggests. The Sedona Pro is not a new design from a new company. It is the current generation of a line that traces back to Austria in 1991.
The original MAS system was built in Leibnitz, Austria, for frequency therapists working in hospitals and clinics rather than for the home wellness market. That professional origin shaped the engineering in ways still visible today. Where most consumer PEMF devices ship with one or two preset waveforms, MAS was built to deliver up to 9,999 selectable sine wave frequencies and multiple waveform shapes from a single controller, reaching 100 Gauss at the pillow applicator. Its full-body mat used 17 flat copper coils in graduated sizes, distributed so the field stayed even across the whole body instead of concentrating in one area.
Franz Zach founded that company and designed those systems. Around 2015 he moved on from MAS and began manufacturing its successor, the Sedona Pro, and today he owns Sedona Wellness and the Sedona Pro brand. The architecture carried over: the same coil philosophy, the same insistence on giving the operator real frequency control rather than a handful of locked presets. What changed was a generation of electronics. MAS was analog. The Sedona Pro is digital, with a touchscreen controller, stored programs, and the ability to run a mat and a local applicator at the same time on different frequencies.

We have sold this engineering lineage before, during, and after the handover, which is a longer continuous relationship than most dealers have with any manufacturer.

The lifetime warranty, and why it has to be decided up front
Every Sedona system carries a 2-year standard warranty on technical problems. For an additional $375 on the Sedona Pro, Pro Plus and Elite, that becomes an Extended Lifetime Warranty covering defects or malfunctions of the computer controller under normal use. It must be added at the time of purchase. This is the one decision on a Sedona order that cannot be revisited. If you buy with the standard warranty and later decide you want lifetime coverage, it is not available retroactively at any price. We would rather you knew that before checkout than discover it in year three.
What it covers is the controller, meaning the electronics. It does not cover normal wear and tear on the mat and pillow applicators, and it does not cover misuse, accidents, alterations, or improper installation. Claims require proof of purchase and the unit serial number.
What the lifetime warranty does for applicators
The Extended Lifetime Warranty covers the computer controller. It does not cover wear and tear on the mat and pillow applicators — those are consumable parts, and no warranty covers them outright.
What it changes is what they cost to replace. Once the standard 2-year warranty has expired, a replacement mat or pillow applicator is $1,250 without the extended warranty and $250 with it. That is a $1,000 difference on a single applicator, against a one-time $375 — and applicators are the part of any PEMF system most likely to need replacing, because they are the part you lie on every day. As far as we are aware, Sedona is the only PEMF manufacturer that offers a lifetime warranty at any price. A manufacturer willing to stand behind its controller indefinitely is making a statement about expected service life, and that is a reasonable thing to weigh against a competitor offering two or three years.
