You should know who wrote what you’re reading, how it was put together, and why it exists. Here’s how ElectroMeds content is made.
Who
ElectroMeds was founded in 2008 by Russ Guillemot in San Diego, California. Russ has spent the years since helping hundreds of customers (home users, chiropractors, physical therapists, and equine vets) choose PEMF systems. He is the author and final reviewer of the content on this site. You can read his story on Our Founder.
ElectroMeds is an independent dealer, not a manufacturer. We earn money when you buy from us. We say that plainly so you can weigh what we write with that in mind.
How
Research summaries. Our “What the Research Shows” pages follow the same rules:
- Every study we discuss can be traced to a PubMed ID (PMID) or a DOI, so you can read it yourself.
- We report positive, negative, and mixed findings, including small sample sizes, dropouts, and conflicting reviews.
- When an older claim on our site couldn’t be traced to a real source, we removed it rather than repeat it.
- We separate the devices that were studied from the devices we sell. A study on one PEMF device doesn’t prove anything about another.

Product pages. Specifications, prices, warranties, and return terms come from the manufacturers and are stated on each product page and on our Purchase Terms page. When a manufacturer changes something, we update the page.
Health language. The home PEMF systems we sell are general-wellness devices. They aren’t cleared to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and we don’t write as if they were. Where the FDA has cleared specific PEMF devices for specific uses, we name the use and make clear those clearances belong to those devices.
Customer stories. Stories on What PEMF Owners Tell Us come from real, identifiable people. We say where each one comes from, and we don’t publish stories that claim PEMF cured a disease.
AI tools. We use AI tools to help research and draft. Every page is checked against its sources, then reviewed and approved by Russ before it’s published.
Why
The PEMF market is full of big promises. We’d rather give you enough honest information to make your own decision, even when that decision is a smaller system, a different brand, or not buying at all. People who understand what they’re buying tend to stay with it.
