How Long Until I Notice Anything? What PEMF Owners Tell Russ

It’s one of the questions I hear most on the phone. Here’s what I tell people, from my own experience and from the stories customers have told me since 2008.

My first session (2007)

The first time I used a PEMF system, an MRS2000, back in 2007, I fell deeply asleep. It was a profound kind of rest, the sort of experience you have once in a lifetime, if ever. Over the years I’ve heard nearly the same story from customers dozens of times.

So my honest answer is that many people notice something in the very first session. What they describe most often is a deep sleep and a level of rest they haven’t felt before.

Sleep is only the beginning

Over time, I started calling PEMF “the Forgetful Machine.” Customers call me and mention, almost in passing, that an ache they had last week is something they’d simply stopped thinking about. They forgot about it.

Debbie’s story

Debbie owns a hair salon. Last month she heard that a salon near hers was adding a “wellness spa” room, and she went to try it. The session combined three things: 30 minutes on a Sedona Pro, red light therapy, and a guided audio experience. She fell into one of those deep sleeps, and she told me it was one of the most profound experiences of her 60-plus years.

She wanted to turn her own salon into a wellness spa. Of everything in that room, the one name she took home was the Sedona Pro. She asked ChatGPT about it, it pointed her to ElectroMeds, and she called me one evening. We talked for more than an hour, and she ordered that night.

She’d left that session unsure which of the three had done it: the mat, the light, or the sound. My view, after years of hearing these stories, is that the Sedona Pro delivered the knockout punch, and the other two were warm-up jabs.

What to expect, honestly

  • Experiences vary. Some people feel it in the first session. Others notice changes gradually over weeks. Some notice very little.
  • What people tell me about most is deeper relaxation and sleep. Those are general-wellness experiences, not medical outcomes.
  • We don’t publish recovery timelines for medical conditions. Home PEMF systems are general-wellness devices, not treatments. If you’re curious about research on a specific topic, our “What the Research Shows” summaries on the PEMF Education page report what studies actually found, including mixed and negative results.
  • Give it a fair trial, then decide. As Dr. Oz put it on his 2011 PEMF episode: “if you’re getting no benefit, don’t waste your money.” The StemPulse and MultiPulse come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Terms for every system are on our Purchase Terms page.
  • Check with your physician first if you’re pregnant, have a pacemaker or other implanted device, or have a health condition.
